Wedding Weight Loss Goals

 

Every bride wants to look her best and feel her best on her wedding day, especially since she is generally the center of attention. This sometimes puts way too much pressure on the bride to look a certain way. Real beauty comes from within no matter what size you are.

However, it Is understandable that you want to look great in your gown and some women may feel better if they can shed a few pounds prior to the wedding.

Here are some guidelines to reach your weight loss goals:

·      Figure out how much you want to lose and how much time you have to do it.

·      Select a plan that fits into your guidelines.

For example:

If you have 10 weeks to lose weight until you either purchase the dress, or you have a fitting, and you want to lose 10 pounds, and it’s obvious that it would be a pound a week.  Then you create your weight loss plan and set your goals to lose one pound a week.  This is just a generalization and not everyone loses weight at the same pace.  Know yourself and know how you have lost weight in the past without starving yourself.


·      Affirmations

Some points to remember:

Affirm what you want, not what you don’t want.

Insert your goal weight into your affirmations

Be in the present tense

Say or sing your affirmations.

Some examples: Insert your name in the blank space.

My normal weight is ________.  That’s what I weigh now.

I       ____________love my body.

I       ____________am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit.

I       _________now create my ideal weight.

Weight loss comes to me easily and effortlessly.

My ideal wedding dress fits perfectly.


·      Visualization

“If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams, and endeavor to live the life which you have imagined, you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours”.

Use visualization to see and change the way you think about food and exercise. It can be done by just closing your eyes and

 “seeing in your mind’s eye”.

 

  • Imagine or visualize seeing yourself as having accomplished your goal weight.
  • Visualize your fiancé acknowledging how wonderful you look in your wedding dress.
  • Visualize your desired weight and watch it come to you.
  • Visualize how you look and feel now that you have reached your goal.
  • Visualize yourself walking down the aisle on your wedding day, looking and feeling fabulous!

Write these down, and then add your own.

 

  • Visualize what you want
  • Love what you see!
  • Be passionate...
  • Visualize every day

 

Be sure to use these techniques every day and before you know it, you can find yourself less stressed and achieving your wedding goals.
